With high labour costs, increased QA requirements can be a costly burden on small to medium manufacturers. Some supermarkets now require every pack to be recorded. Whilst most of our checkweigher clients are identifying potential underweight items, an increasing number are deploying these systems as a cost effective way to RECORD EVERY PACK straight to an Excel-friendly csv file in real time. Product ID, time, date, weight - it’s all there for less than half the cost of a full time person

HAPPY SNAPS FROM THE YARRA VALLEY

A&D were proud to participate in the Wandin & Silvan Horticulture & Field Days in one of Victoria's premier berry & stone fruit regions. The event was held over two days and provided a great opportunity for visitors to get up close & personal with many aspects of agricultural and processing equipment & systems - not to mention some of Australia’s deadliest snakes (YIKES!).

NZ FOOD EXPO - IT WAS REALLY CHOICE!

We had some fun with our mates across the ditch (that’s pronounced “dutch”) showcasing our full range of weighing & inspection equipment, including our popular EZI-Check™ Metal Detector & Checkweigher. Well done to the organisers of the FOODTECH PACKTECH show for putting on another great event - we were overwhelmed by the response which must have had nothing to do with our usual “Guess the A&D Girls Weight Competition”. Our local teams at Weightec & TLS NZ have some busy weeks ahead following up all the inquiries.

ACCURATE PIPETTING FOR EVERYONE!

In a laboratory where the pipette is perhaps the most critical and common ‘instrument’ used through the day, it is sometimes the most inaccurate instrument in the lab! But now you can rest assure you'll get accurate results as A&D have introduced a new range of MPA electronic pipettes. If you think manual pipettes are good enough, it’s time to think again!
The MPA pipette can be calibrated in traditional volume mode or gravimetric – weight mode, useful for diluted solids or powder samples. Calibration can also easily be accomplished using tips from various manufacturers so we won’t tie you into our own tips if you already have a preferred supplier or a large number of mechanical pipettes to source for.

SPRING CARNIVAL 2014

...ah yes, it's that fabulous time of year again - The sun's shining and the flowers are in full bloom at Flemington! Best of luck during the Spring Racing Carnival to all those punters out there! It's business as usual at A&D except for the Victorian office which will be closed on Melbourne Cup Day Tuesday 4th November.
